Another one from out walking around in the Venice apartment complex and surrounding neighborhoods. In retrospect this should have been taken at a slightly smaller aperture. You can tell I've got plenty of headroom because the ISO is so low and the shutter speed is so fast. If you look carefully you can see that only the edges of the flower's bottom petals are in focus, and a kind of midpoint in the stamen, because the depth of field is so shallow.

Photographs like this are frustrating because the problem is so small and would be so easy to fix, but the moment is gone. I don't live in that neighborhood, that particular is gone, the light's not like that now.
